A backyard hot tub on a deck, its outdoor disconnect box and conduit run on the house wall, dry hills beyond the fence

Homes

Residential: from a dead outlet to a hot tub hookup

Whether the house is a cozy historic bungalow or a modern new build, the crew works with whatever age and wiring it has. The residential list covers EV charging station installs, wall heater and lighting installs, breaker repair and installation, panel and service changes, electric water heater repairs and generator installations.

The shop also specializes in hot tub and sauna installations.

Residential Electrical, in detail

A small commercial workshop under new linear LED high-bay lights, a scissor lift parked by the shelving

Shops and buildings

Commercial: hole-in-the-walls to shopping malls

Thunder works for established companies and for new businesses opening in Yakima, Zillah and Selah. It installs and repairs interior and exterior lighting, pole and signage lighting and dedicated circuits, and handles restaurant and office renovations as well as new construction.

LED lighting upgrades are part of that, and small businesses can check whether the lighting incentives apply.

Commercial Electrical, in detail

Electrical rough-in in a new house: cable stapled along the studs into blue outlet boxes, dry hills through the window opening

Ground-up

New construction: one room or the whole building

The work runs from complete wiring of individual rooms to entire buildings, plus circuit modifications for lighting projects and customized interior and exterior lighting installations. The shop's list names three kinds of new builds: commercial, residential and shops.

Estimates for new construction and remodels are free for qualifying scope.

New Construction, in detail

A kitchen remodel with new recessed downlights in the ceiling and one fixture box still open

Fixtures and fans

Lighting: decorative, landscape and LED

Finish a remodel with the right light: decorative fixtures, landscape lighting that picks out the best parts of the yard, LED installs for an office that needs to work better, and modernized interior and exterior lighting.

Thunder also supplies the ceiling fans and wafer downlights it installs, so the fixture and the wiring come from the same River Road shop.

A service call typically means troubleshooting or a small task like changing out a light. Nobody charges you on site: the invoice comes by mail and email, usually within 1 to 2 weeks after the work is done.

Bigger work gets an estimate first, and a financing option is there for jobs over $500. See the financing page or the FAQ for the rest of the fine print.
