For the build
New Construction
Complete wiring of single rooms or entire buildings, circuit work for lighting, homes and commercial builds.
Chapter 01
One room, or the whole building wired from the ground up
Proper electrical installation is crucial. When you're building a new home or commercial property in Yakima, Zillah or Selah, Thunder Electric handles the electrical system installations, inside and out, with precision and care. Thunder Electric has done everyday electrical repair and installation across the Yakima Valley since 1974.
The work runs from the complete wiring of a single room to the wiring of an entire building. The shop's own list names three kinds of new builds: commercial, residential and shops. That covers a house going up on a lot, a new commercial space, or the shop building out behind the house.
Tell the office what you're putting up and where. The number is (509) 575-8362, and the office answers Monday to Friday, 8 to 5.

Circuits for the lighting plan, indoors and out
New construction is where the lighting gets decided, and the electrical work has to match it. Thunder does circuit modifications for lighting projects and customized exterior and interior lighting installations, so the plan on paper ends up as fixtures that work where you wanted them.
Beyond lighting, the shop's new-circuit list covers EV chargers, kitchen and laundry equipment, hot tubs, additional outlets, television receptacles and additional lights. It also does office remodels and home remodels, which is where a lot of new circuits get added to an older building.
Maggie L hired Thunder for electrical work throughout the new house as part of a renovation. She wrote that the bid came in about 7k under the other one she got for the same work, and that Jared and the guys helping him were all fantastic and finished in 1.5 days.
Chapter 03
A free estimate, a deposit, and financing if you want it
Estimates are free for new construction and remodels, for qualifying scope and upon request. For bigger jobs, the estimator comes on site, lays eyes on the work and puts an estimated cost together for you. If an estimate appointment turns into a no call, no show, a trip fee is charged, so call the office if plans change.
Thunder asks for at least a 50% deposit of the total estimated job, to be paid by the date of the scheduled work. Nobody charges you at the building site afterward: the invoice comes by mail and email, usually within 1 to 2 weeks after the work is completed. Card payments carry a 3% processing fee, and check or cash works too.
For anything over $500, Thunder offers financing through Wisetack: projects up to $25,000, terms from 3 to 60 months, and APRs from 0% to 35.9%. All financing is subject to credit approval and your terms may vary. Checking your options takes about a minute and won't affect your credit score.

Pricing the job before the first wire
Thunder prints its hourly rates for anyone to read, and a new build gets an estimate before the work starts. If you want to spread the cost out, read the full Wisetack terms before you apply.
All financing is subject to credit approval. Payment options through Wisetack are provided by their lending partners.
